Friday night will be a big one in North Carolina high school football as 16 semifinal showdowns take place around the state.
In Class 4AA, Wake Forest (12-1), Leesville Road (12-0), Richmond (13-0) and Vance (11-2) comprise a powerhouse final four.
Wake Forest shutout Hoggard 13-0 and advances to the semifinals to face Leesville Road, a 41-7 winner over Garner Magnet.
Richmond edged Myers Park 35-32 to set up a semifinal showdown with Vance, who crushed West Forsyth 35-7.
The state championship football games for all eight classes are scheduled for Dec. 14.
