Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to talk with chefs and owners who are serving innovative ethnic and southern cuisine, scratch-made desserts, local beer, wine and more. There’s something for everyone in Raleigh! Tours in Raleigh are scheduled for every Fri., all year ’round and can be arranged for private and corporate groups on weekdays and weeknights. Tours run rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes; walking distance is two to three miles. Tour runs three to three and a half hours.

The Fri., 1:45pm, Capitol to Seaboard Tour begins on historic Fayetteville St. near the Capitol and heads over to Seaboard Station. Included is food tastings at three restaurants that source ingredients locally, plus a a beer tasting, a chocolate tasting and dessert.

The Fri., 3pm and 4pm, Dinner & Drinks Tours stay mostly close to historic Fayetteville St. and the Capitol but may also walk to the Warehouse/Gallery or Glenwood Ave. South Districts depending upon the weekly schedule. These high-spirited tours include enough food to be considered dinner by most people, and they include a number of drink pairings along the way. Stops are subject to change on a week-to-week basis based on restaurant availability.

First Friday @ Downtown Raleigh

first-fridayFirst Friday is a free self-guided tour of downtown’s cutting edge cultural hot spots. Local art galleries, art studios, alternative art venues, and museums stay open late the first Friday of every month to welcome thousands of art-seeking enthusiasts downtown.

The event runs from 6 pm-9 pm, but some venue hours may vary.

Attendees may also take advantage of the First Friday specials offered by participating restaurants and retailers. Look for the First Friday Flags to easily locate participating venues. A detailed map/guide will be available at each location. Pick up your very own copy for easy event navigation. Visit the galleries and listen to live music. Delight in a divine culinary experience and take advantage of the First Friday Specials offered by all participating restaurants. Experience art in all of its forms!

nOg Run Club run @ Raleigh Beer Garden

nogEVERY Monday at the Raleigh Beer Garden (614 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27603) and run at 6:15pm. If you are new, make sure you show up to your first run 15 minutes early to register. After the run, stay and enjoy the $5 runner menu. Each week we have entertainment (99.9999% of the time it is trivia) which starts at 7:15pm. Maps are provided for 3, 4, 5 and 6 mile routes.

Big Boss Run Club @ Big Boss Brewing

big-bossJoin other runners at Big Boss Brewing Company for Raleigh’s BEST brewery supported run club since 2011. Every week, come out for a meet and greet followed by a social fun run; out and back along the Capital Area Greenway. Stick around after the run and socialize with other members and enjoy the weekly beer special from the Big Boss Taproom. Most weeks, a food truck will also be at Big Boss serving up grub to go with your brew. Follow the Big Boss Run Club Facebook Group for special weekly promotions including raffles and sponsor partner discounts. There are four official routes (3.1, 4, 5 or 6 miles) – all offered each week however you can adjust any of them for more or less mileage. Directions and maps are available each week. This is a social fun run for all paces.
